Create your own game

Winning is non-linear. If you win, you win big. First place isn’t marginally better than second - it’s exponential. So make winning easier.

If you want to win, create a small enough game where you can. Your skill level is in direct proportion to the game you can own. The lower your skill level, the smaller the game you should play.

If you’re a level 60, don’t fight a level 112 - fight a level 59 and get better. All of a sudden you’re a level 61. Great. Continue. When you’ve got all the juice from this level, then and only then move forward.

Keep winning in the little world you’ve created one level at a time. At some point you will make a decision - continue, or level up and play the next game.

What makes this difficult in practice is the hardest part of being a great creator is being a great creator.

To own your game you need to do the thing for an extended period of time. And to do that, you can’t create something out of nothing every day.

You create, then integrate. If you only start the creation process, you create nothing.
